The xbox 360 is made by Microsoft and is very popular. There are over 53 million Xbox consoles in the world. The first Xbox was shown on MTV and unveiled in May of the year of 2005. It comes in many different model types, has many specifications and there are many accessories that can be used with. There are 5 discontinued models. They are the Xbox pro, elite, arcade and super elite. The models that are continued are the 250GB, 4GB and 320GB. There are also several limited edition models that have been created. The current models are known as Xbox 360 S models. They are different because they are smaller and able to operate more quietly. Also, these models have five USB 2.0 ports instead of 3 like the previous models.

Newer models also have an extra port that can connect to the Kinetic device. This is a device that can be purchased and it can sense body movements and make users play the game by moving their body which is very much similar to the Nintendo Wii. Xbox S devices also have ability to connect to the wireless internet and wireless music devices. The power and DVD drives are also more sensitive than previous models. The discontinued special edition models are made with designs that resemble Halo3, The Simpsons Movie and Resident Evil 5. These consoles were given out to game and sweepstakes winners. The Resident Evil special edition model was given with a red, wireless controller and a black headset. The Simpsons model was yellow and the Halo 3 edition Xbox was colored spartan green and gold. There were also special edition Xbox360 consoles that were made after Cal of Duty:Convictions Modern Warfare II, Splinter Cell and Final Fantasy VIII. The continued models were made after Halo Reach, Gears of War, Kinetic Star Wars BUndle and Modern Warfare 3.

Many fun accessories are being sold in electronics departments and video game stores for the Xbox.One accessory is the Xbox Live card. This allows the Xbox to connect to the internet. This allows users to play and talk with each other through an internet connection. They can also chat, look at movies, listen to movie, learn of new games that are being released, watch television and use Facebook. Hard drives can be purchased for the xbox 360 if more memory is desired. Wireless controllers, headsets and cables to connect the device to televisions, bluetooth earpieces, microphones and computer and stereo speakers can also be purchased. Chargers for the controllers are also sold. Another popular accessory is known as the chatpad and it allows users to chat with each other as if they were on a computer and using a keyboard. A device known as a wireless N network adapter connects the Xbox360 to a wireless network in a faster way. It make the connection to be lightning fast in order to watch movies more easily. These is also an Xbox360 cable that can connect to any hard drive and transfer information.
